Jack and Bronte (chapter 4 spoilers)

. . . . . . . So in chapter 4 you find out that a man named Bronte kidnapped Jack from the gang. So it's pretty obvious that Bronte is the bad guy... right...? No. Jack's time with Bronte was the best time he ever had. Yes, a kid SHOULD grow with his parents, but what if the parents can't properly take care of the kid? Abigail had hard times even properly clothing Jack, and needed a loan from Arthur. And Jack eats nothing but whatever slime Pearson manages to make. He lived his whole life without seeing anyone his age, surrounded by bloodthirsty maniacs and a ruthless "father". But Brone... Bronte fed him quality food, gave him warm and clean clothes. Bronte gave Jack whatever Jack could ever wish. Jack lived in a big luxurious house with Bronte protected by an entire militia. While with the gang he lived outside surrounded by malaria mosquitoes and exposed to the cold at night. Jack even gets badly sick because of the gang constant travels at the beginning. He is chased by practically every gang and law enforcers in America because of actions he couldn't control. If you ask me, the GOOD thing the gang could've made was to leave Jack with Bronte and let him grow safely with him instead of ending up dead from some random shootout. Yes I know, in the end Jack somehow by a miracle survives the craziness and ends up as the last gunslinger at the end of the first game. Which is a career that most likely got him killed afterwards. So, Bronte raising Jack >>>>>>>>>> Jack living as a lowlife scum. Anyone else agrees?

I feel like, no matter what, Jack belongs as he is. His circumstances are deplorable, and for most of his early life his father wasn’t even his father, but he is an avenger. He worked past those falls growing up, weather by anger for the death of the man he looked up to or by maturity.

I'm just saying that if Jack stayed with Bronte he would've had a much better future ahead of him. Becoming rich, understanding civilization, getting proper education, learning social skills and lots of other much more useful abilities than shooting a gun. I love shooting guns, but it's not a very helpful skill when most of America is completely tamed.

Do you think Bronte really would have raise jack some random kid as his own he would have raised jack to just be another member in his Mafia he would have been apart of another life of crime just organized crime

Bro the gang was able to just walk in the back door kill everyone kidnapped Bronte and then walked out Jack would of died before he even grew up because the O'Driscoll's were more ruthless and end up down there and if the gang didn't get Jack they must be dead or just moved on and said fuck Jack according to ur logic so they wouldn't of been there to make sure comb got hanged so the O'Driscoll's probably have the same problems with Bronte kill his gang and find Jack then depending if the gangs alive holding him to setup Dutch or killing because they're already dead or again raising him to be a gunslinger so no matter he would still end up a gunslinger he was destined to be a gunslinger

<p>Hence my point. An empty lavish lifestyle where he'd probably end up being a goon anyways, except for some guy who only only cares about his own wealth and power, wouldn't be better than being with parents who actually loved and died for him.</p>

^^^The gang had plot shield. And Arthur is... Arthur. He can defeat entire armies alone obviously. But real talk, Bronte has about 50 men from what we understand. They may not be the best skilled, but having 50 armed men against you sure is scary.

Jack was also safe because Bronte practically owns the city and no cop is insane enough to harm someone who Bronte cares about.
