I was on about the same, last time I played. Completing the story and any outstanding stranger missions will help a lot, discovering as many locations, animals and plants will also help.

@Wagwan piffting23 I have completed the story 5 times. iv got the dinosaur bones, legendary fish, exotics, Rock carvins, dreamcatchers, fish , and 64 challenge tasks left.
