I like him better in RDR1. Don't get me wrong Gabriel Sloyer did an amazing job playing him in RDR2 but to me it didn't feel like the same Javier we were so used to in the first game. The prequel's plot also played a huge part in that but it suits him more as a villain rather than a companion that barely showed up in most of the missions. He should have had more character development rather than blindly siding with Dutch at the end, not to mention we don't get to know what happens with him after Chapter 6 and how he escapes to Mexico. I mean he's never seen in the Epilogue.

I liked Javier a lot. His interesting past (and future, I suppose) as a revolutionary, his stylish clothing, his beautiful revolver, his loyalty to Dutch and the gang... he’s very competent at most things and is friendly towards other gang members, but I really wish he was more of a major gang member. While I don’t mind the RDR 1 continuity with him too much, I do dislike the fact that he is presented as a key member in the gang in RDR 1, only to be pushed into the background in RDR 2. If he featured more, he’d be even better.

I've only played rdr2 but he immediately became one of my favorite characters in the game and that only got reinforced throughout the game

Throughout RDR2 he's this nice guy and then all of a sudden he's not with very little explanation. Although his appearance in 1 was brief, I prefer it.

I dont want a rdr3 if javier isnt in it.

And hes very good looking for a video game character.
