You forgot the epilogue part 1 and 2
Chapter 2
In terms of freeroam and just surviving with da camp. Chapter 2, but if ya talking bout story content than it's a tie between chapter 4 n chapter 6
Chapter 2 has the best camp and everyone is alive and Micah is in jail for a time and for me personally is when I explored the world the most since it expanded so much compared to chapter 1
I like Chapter 1 a lot. Short, but the landscape is beautiful, the gang’s winter outfits look great, and all the missions are really good. A pretty good part of the game, in my opinion.
Chapter 2 is the best camp, everyone is getting settled, and there are some fun missions. Chapter 3 is when everyone is at their happiest (morale goes downhill from there on out) and there are some good missions, but I don’t like the Gray/Braithwaite feud missions. Don’t even get me started on the Uncle robbery one...
Still, I’d say it’s generally a good chapter and there are good missions in it.
Chapter 4 is pretty good too. Saint Denis feels unnatural for the gang, but that’s good in a way as it shows how they are being chased into territory that’s not natural for them, the pressure they are under in terms of being pursued by Pinkertons and the city life forcing them to adapt. Angelo Bronte is a good character too.
I don’t really like Chapter 5 as I’m not a fan of Guarma.
Chapter 6 is the climax of the story. Arthur’s TB is revealed, his relationship with John turns into a proper friendship for the first time with excellent character development, Dutch’s insanity becomes more obvious, the splits in the gang become more apparent, and I really like the Wapiti Indians and their story. Rains Fall are Eagle Flies are great characters, and I also like the standoff and Arthur’s final showdown with Micah. For the atmosphere and peak of the story, I’d go for chapter 6. Chapters 2 would be next, closely followed by 1 and 4.
Chapter 5 shows how dutch slowly becomes more erratic, more angry and edgy after witnessing so much loss in less then a week
Chapter 6 is both my favorite and least favorite chapter because it has a lot of action and gets me going every time, but I also remember how much of a d*ck Micah is and Arthur dying
What do you think?
