@Petkoholic For clarity, I was referring to how completing the mission would allow the player to interact with them as "Night Folk" rather than "Stranger".
And when the gang arrived in lakay , it’s mentioned that Sadie and Charles chased the original inhabitants away ( which where probably the nightfolk .
The swamps of Lemoyne are very slimey and alligator filled but the night folk set it off. As well as tall trees. Y’all trees is a beautiful area but the skinners and murphee brood make it hell. The trees are red with blood but sometimes their is people hanging all over which makes y’all trees more scaries. But don’t get me wrong the silent night folk are TERRIFYING
There are no Murphrees in Tall Trees, only Skinners. But they do act in a similiar way.
I have not been in tall trees before and not been attacked by a bear
The nite folk DO TALK . I hogtied one once and loaded him on my horse . He was swearing and insulting me when i cut him loose in a saloon in saint denis . He ran away later and I went after him . Said something like FUCK YOU !!( I don’t really remember what exactly but something in that matter ) . The majority of them seem to be black people as well . I don’t know if there’s a connection with runaway slaves but it sure looks like it .
@Roel The allmighty I don't think they’re black; they seem to just cover their faces in dirt. Besides, slavery ended decades before the game begins.
My favorite region in the game is Tall Trees, so that’s definitely out of the question (despite creepy stuff I’ve encountered at night there). I would have to pick Bayou Nwa, since it gives me the chills to walk through at night.
I live in Florida i am basically at home in a swamp i am like shrek.
What I still don’t understand : I completed the mission , didn’t encounter them for the rest of the story . The night folk seemed to be gone . In the epilogue I went back to the bayou for a treasure . Saw a corpse hangin from a tree , stopped to look at it , and BAM! There they were , still mentioned as “ strangers”
What do you think?
