It's a small, normal looking building along the roads north of Armadillo that explodes in the distance as you ride towards it. Or at least it did when I approached it.
Yeah, apparently its an Alchemist trying to turn metals into gold. An ingame newspaper mentions him.

Yes the one we’re it looks like a man was doing an experiment on a bomb or something like that. Then when you get close to the house it explodes
