Morover, the Del Lobos have their work cut out for them with the ragged and lawless state New Austin was in by 1899 and 1907, while the O'driscolls had been on the decline throughout the entire story.

The Laramie gang would probably be the least bad of all the gangs to be in, as they’re more akin to mercenaries and not as far beyond the law as the other gangs, meaning the law won’t pay so much attention to them.

The absolute worst would be the Murfree gang, as living in a cave and mutilating travellers is an awful lifestyle, and the Skinners aren’t much different. O’Driscolls are big, impersonal and badly treated by Colm, so by default, I’d go for the Del Lobos out of the choices available.
