Beyond Arthur Morgan being in the late stages of a terminal disease, it's clearly apparent (regardless of the player's honor) that his fate in no way allows him to fall into a coma. I'd also like to ask: at what point throughout the game had Charles Smith even give an inkling of ever potentially being dishonest about something as serious as burying one of his closest friends?

As someone who likes Arthur's character more than any of the others. The sad truth is that he's dead... At the end of the game when the credits are rolling, the player can see mary visiting Arthur's grave, you can also go to it in the epilogue as john, and have a unique interaction depending on Arthur's karma level at his death.

More choice in the missions would be cool, choosing to ignore Strauss's mission when you go to the downes farm would be awesome. I at least think you should be able to play as Arthur after the Epilogue, just make it to where you could switch characters/timelines.

I mean it does sound kind weird but likewise, he's probably dead. But... Undead nightmare 2 vibes??? (also it wouldn't be possible to survive with 1 ending as he gets shot in the head by Micah)

Yeah like said above, TB had already taken a huge toll on his body. I have no idea how he would’ve survived. Especially in that time. There’s no high tech facility he could’ve escaped to, no high end medicine to save him. Just couldn’t happen

I've read my fair share of idiotic shit on these discussions, but this one tops them all.

There is absolutely no reason for people to act so immature about this. Rockstar doesn’t necessarily show his “death” if you had the high honor ending but him laying on the mountain and losing his breath is supposed to insinuate he’s gone. Unfortunately I don’t think Rockstar plans on bringing Arthur back unless there is an Undead Nightmare 2 or there’s a third Red Dead about when the gang was actually in its prime and not on the verge of falling apart.

Personally I like to think his soul left his body when he died and he possessed Jack ever since. But that's just my theory.
