As I said above, during this period nothing fundamentally interesting happened on which to base the story (and in 1869 even the gang was not formed). In addition, objectively, the new prequel will be stomping on the spot in terms of the game's history. It is better to just make a new story arc, and accordingly a new Saga (Rebirth, Revelations, and so on).

I rather would have Revolver be remastered, and retcon all of the silly parts of the game. Make it even more of a open world. Characters like Pig Josh, Ugly Chris, and the Professor should all stay the same. Their deaths should’ve involved a little less effort.
I think rdr3 should focus on Arthurs personal life like his romance. But the epilogue should focus on Mac Callander in the events after Eliza and Isaac's death and the blackwater massacre. I will say rdr3 was most likely gonna focus on Mac by the whole fact he is only mentioned. But with the success of Arthur. Mac will most likely become the epilogue protagonist. Also i wouldn't be suprised f the epilogue is longer.
