I’m pretty doubtful of this, seems like fake news to me. Gwydion can be found in the Tumbleweed stables in the epilogue - that’s the only way that’s generally known for acquiring him.

I just tried it myself. Simply couldn’t find Trelawny in camp anymore, no Trelawny, no Gwydion. Of course just after Gilded Cages Trelawny is in town waiting for you to start the river boat thingy. I did that mission but he’s nowhere to be found in camp now. I don’t think you see him anymore until Beaver Hollow agian.
