Arthur’s Journal entries from Blackwater

I finally sat down and read the first bit of Arthur’s journal. He says that his last one was destroyed in a fire a few months before his first entry in his current journal. The fire would have also happened before the Blackwater massacre. It seems like a big detail that Rockstar put in there for a reason. I’m thinking it could be there as a hint to what happens in RDR 3? A devastating fire is a HUGE detail and I don’t think it was just thrown in the game for kicks. Thoughts?

Yeah I do think they’ve definitely left some potential for an RDR3 in a lot of the narrative. I actually believe that if it were to go ahead you would play as the traitor that gets mentioned a couple of times who was shot. Maybe he seen Dutch for who he really was early on in the gang days. Play as him up until you get shot by Dutch, or even Arthur, then play as Arthur in the epilogue leading to the said fire. I doubt you could play the blackwater ferry job in the epilogue as the events after that lead directly into RDR2

I didn’t even think about that! That’s probably the best RDR 3 theory I’ve heard yet! All of the big details mentioned like that seem too important to just talk about and never explore. I think that’s a pretty solid idea!
