Well, so far nothing in it really fights against the main story, so i think it is.

Online takes place in 1898, characters from story mode appear in online too. Ofc it is the same story.

There can be different time lines or they could consider it apart of a RDR LEGENDS universe like they do with Star Wars.

How did you get to that conclusion tho?

A lot of the tech used in RDRO isn’t mentioned or used until RDR 1. (I’m talking about the tanks used in one of the missions in Valentine)
