The night folk look like zombies (and they may as well be) AND make no noise, at all. Just plain nightmare fuel.

What makes the night folk terrifying is that they can kill you in just a single hit no matter what your health is at. Atleast they only have melee weapons.

The Murfrees are just a group of pals who are tryna survive out here. They’re personalities are pretty funny. The skinner brothers are pretty dangerous, but I wouldn’t call them scary. The Night Folk are terrifying though. You’re just wandering through Bayou and suddenly they come out of nowhere. They tie people to trees and hang others. That’s stuff is scary.

It's probably the Skinner Brothers for me. The Murfree and Night Folk are brutal killers, but from the random encounters we have with them we can see a good chunk of their victims die quickly and without any over-the-top methods. This is pretty unlike the Skinners who are shown to torture the victims they capture for maybe several hours in various ways, like how we see Uncle being burnt alive and other corpses completely filled with arrows, and to top it off a majority of the Skinner victims we see end up scalped, likely done while they were alive. They're a gang of traveling sadists who kill for no reason unlike the Murfree, who are just territorial inbreds. I believe they're the most dangerous.

Gameplay-wise based on random encounters, the Night Folk definitely have the edge here as the swamp ambiance is executed perfectly to make for an excellent creepy setting, and them being completely silent compared to every other gang is unnerving.

The night folk? Really???? Or is it just because I live in the swamps pretty much in rdr2, hunting gators, stealing moonshine carts, and just roaming there at night. But I’m terrified of tall trees 🤣

People always say Night Folk but I personally think the Murfrees are downright terrifying- cannibalistic butchers lurking in dark forests, waiting to grab unsuspecting travellers and drag them off to their cave hideaways.

The Night Folk alongside the Skinner Brothers and the Murfree Brood are the most disgusting, disturbing and scariest gangs in the game.

All of them.. Especially the Night Folk cause they sneak up on u so quiet

I think the Skinner brothers because they torture their victims in very cruel ways. They also mutilate bodies and will brutally attack stagecoaches. The Nightfolk are terrifying don’t get me wrong but they are easy to kill and they aren’t as much of psychopaths as the skinner brothers are.
