My dad constantly criticizes me for playing this game because to him it's just "talk to the guy" "ride your horse for 30 minutes" "fight people for 2 minutes" repeat.
How do I convince him it's more than that/that's not what it is?

He doesnt care about it because hes never experienced it.
Alright, so when you say to show him chapter 6 do you mean just like, let him play a mission?
Let him play Red Dead Redemption.
Alr, thank you for the help!
Your welcome friend, all the best to you.

@Chad Thundercock 69 you thought about becoming a mod, cause I'ma be real, you should be one
@Thspeedyasher209 The world of Red Dead Redemption world can be a bit overwhelming to some. Perhaps he is not a fan of such an immersive, open world, self-driven story based experience, and more of a fan of a consistent, linear narrative story line. Because if that is all he knows or feels about the game, I would challenge him to get on a pair of his Good n’ Relaxed sit-on-tha-cheeks-for-the-rest-of-the-night pants, saddle up for a ride, & just explore. There is ALWAYS something to discover, especially if you play with the mini map off. First-person mode is something you cannot forget as well, especially when exploring buildings. The game can be so much more than what he’s describing ... so again, it might just boil down to “it’s not for him.” And that’s ok too!!
Just make him play it
Some people find it hard to immersive themselves into a story and atmosphere like Red Dead. My dad is the same. I'd either show him the narrative strengths of the game or just stop trying. Some people just don't want to be immersed in fiction!
My mom has never played red dead redemption 2 but she says she likes the story
What do you think?
