Uncle in RDR1 had a single glove for his right hand, and also wrinkles "similar" to scars, that led to a huge amount of players theorizing that it was indeed Red Harlow from the first Red Dead game in the series.
The Glove: his glove didn't really meant nothing from the start because his whole outfit is used/copied for other characters (the base of it), like a rancher at McFarlane's ranch and Edgar Ross.
"Scars": In reality, Uncle never had scars, ppl just started to call his normal wrinkles (that he has in RDR2 too) scars. Why?, because they started to tie other things to the theory, like his wrinkles.
Conclusion: Idk how ppl started to believe in that theory, seeing how these two arguments could've been enough to debunk it back in 2010.
