The RDR games are mentioned in Cracked again...

Yeah the Pinkerton was an early FBI agency. FBI was officialy established in 1908. So why would Pinkertons be around in 1911? Silly list. And yes, Pinkerton is a real thing. Established in 1850 in Chicago. To think that the real Pinkertons chased Jesse James just like Milton chased Arthur and the gang.

I already knew that they were real, but in RDR1 there wasn't any Pinkertons, just the Bureau Agents.

And before the FBI there was another association called DOJ, who were the original FBI, the Pinkertons only passed them the information about outlaws and other investigations.

I think you're both thinking of the Bureau Of Investigation (BOI), they're the main enemy in RDR1 and the precursor of the FBI.
