Interesting theory though I must say by 1914 he really doesn't seem to have the mindset of a farmer but more of an outlaw like you said.

I would consider "likely" a very strong term, given the rather bleak circumstances.

I’d like to believe that maybe after Ross was killed, he did his best to run the ranch at Beecher’s Hope. Maybe bought some more animals and tried to make a living the way his parents tried to. Maybe he found a girl and married her and had kids and continued the Marston Legacy. Or he became an outlaw and dismissed everything his parents tried to teach him not to do, I think either or is very possible.

While that would be quite a nice story indeed, I just don't see what reason he had to return to Beechers or even to go back to the US. Considering that his secluded upbringing resulted in him having no family nor friends to come back to.

@H. Roosevelt well if the authorities and law didnt discovered that Jack was the one who Killed Edgar Ross than Jack can easily lay low and settle down to start a family and live a normal Life.

Sure, this doesn't make it "likely" though. I mean, I certainly can't imagine killing someone with such a high status in society, even though retired, would just blow over without anyone like their family alone catching wind of it.

Yeah Edgars brother would for sure know considering Jack asked him where Edgar was
