In RDR2 the Double Action (tryhards opinions don't count) but in RDR1 it's the Cattleman.

In my opinion, the best is the navy, and the second is the cattlemen. For me, double action and schofield are garbage. LeMat is good, but not so much

Double-action too innacurate. Schofield too slow fire rate. LeMat super slow reload. Cattleman is a jack of all. Not great at anything, but also not terrible at anything.

No idea about the Navy as I don’t play online.

Cattlemen: I don't mind using it, but it's not the best.

Schofield: I'm fine with the slow firerate since I normally pair the Schofield with another revolver. It has a good damage output.

Double Action: Garbage, only good in close range.

LeMat: I don't use it much because of the slow reloads.

Navy: Probably my favorite revolver. It has helped me a lot in Online.

@Veroxzes The Navy is by far the best revolver in the game, but the reason is very dumb, pure fan service.

RDR1 has weapon progression, not a weapon system, so of course the starting guns are going to be a bit sh*t. In RDR2, I'd say the cattleman if only because it's a midground between two guns that fill the roles better. If you want sheer stopping power, use a Schofield, if you want a high fire rate use double-action's. If you want something that does both okay, but neither truly well, use a cattleman.
