I know i already did this in the comments of my poll, but im going to ask it here aswell. Which bear attack in either RDR1 or RDR2 was either the most stressful or gave you the biggest jumpscare? i know mine was in RDR2, and to note: i love black bears in this game, i always try to avoid shooting them, and like to try and get photos with them as much as possible. so i saw this bear, and my dumbass though it was a black bear, so i got out my camera, took aim, and then the fucker stood up, and it all went south. my horse had bolted by this point, so i was stuck with my sidearms, and i had made the mistake of choosing a mauser as my right hand weapon (as @Conner Denton said, "what ever my panicked ass pulls first", and its condition was the lowest possible, and i only had three bullets max in it, so that was great. i pull it and try to get in some headshots, but i miss and hit the bears side and paw, the third going wild and actually killing a turkey which was annoying but cool. so i went for my offhand, and pull out my sawnoff and take aim, giving the bastard both barrels, but he refused to die, probably because my panicked aim caused both slugs to hit his legs. but i load in some buckshot, and try again, killing the sod about 3 feet from me, the body sliding to a stop at my feet like in a movie. needless to say i got back on my horses, and after having a go at it for leaving me to die, i ride off just as fast as i fucking can. Moral: keep your guns loaded and clean, and if you are taking a photo of something, make sure it isnt the dangerous variant!. (i left the carcass where it was as it was poor quality and i had the sudden urge to go to a town and pet a dog for a few hours.)
So, thats what happened to me, but what about you? got a intresting story, share it right here, and lets all hope that the next bear we come across is neither a grizzly, or a city smokey.
