Best tips for train robberies?
I have a bounty of 1500 and they stop chasing me if i kill enough of them even when I’m still blowing up safes and robbing passengers
How do you get a bounty that big? I thought it capped out at about 700
It caps at 1500 per state
I have it at 1500 everywhere but Ambarino from killing a whole ton of lawmen and pedestrians
The bounty cap increases the more you progress through the main story
Not to go off topic too far, but 1500 in every state!? Is it even possible to eliminate bounties when you get to that point? Like is there enough money to find/steal in order to clear them?
I have $10,000 in my current play through and am only in chapter six. Treasure maps are very profitable. And (spoilers) when you complete the story you get $20,000.
Edit: I forgot that your bounty resets a few times, namely after you finish chapter 4 and chapter 6
I spent that 20,000 literally just clearing bounties i believe until i ran out
Train robberies pay well but it takes like 5 or 6 to get enough money for a clear in one state
It’s also what i spent almost all of my treasure hunting profits on
So i just remain a fugitive usually, but there’s one saving thing: getting arrested, which clears your bounty in whatever state you were arrested in, even if you have 0 dollars and a 1500 bounty. It’s how i avoid being immediately shot dead in Blackwater or Saint Denis for pushing someone.
RDR2 is my favorite game, but I have to say it feels like Rockstar did their best to not add any of the classic Outlaw activities into the free-roam, and the ones that they did work awfully. You can't rob banks outside of missions, whenever you try to hold up a stagecoach they just take out their weapon even though you have a gun aimed at them and all you need to do is pull the trigger while they clumsily whip out a shotgun and say some stupid dialogue like: I'll shoot you like a sick hound! You can only rob trains without getting a wanted level if you go into tunnels, and you can't commit any crime anywhere apart from grizzlies west without being seen by a witness in 5 seconds. You could be galloping through the plains without seeing a single NPC for 5 minutes but as soon as you commit a crime then they're everywhere you look.
^i can’t argue any of your points about it being kind of silly the way the game treats outlaw activity.
But as Jim Carry said in Liar Liar…maybe you should “STOP BREAKING THE LAW ASSHOLE!”
Yeah It certainly would’ve been nice if they added back the free roam bank robberies from rdr1 without the entire witnesses seeing you silently open a safe through like 3 walls part and if stagecoaches had something other then like 6 rounds of repeater ammo and 10 cents
Armadillo bank even has an interior in red dead 2 that is entirely unused so far i believe
What do you think?
