I just finished RDR2

Anyway, I loved the game. I bawled my eyes out at the end of Chapter 6 (I got High Honor, save John ending) Overall, it took me a little less than twenty days to beat the game.

RDR2 is more than just a game, it’s an experience. I loved talking to the homeless guy in Valentine, every time I stopped by there I would see if he was there. I loved buying new guns and customizing them, hunting, making health tonics, even the simple things like playing dominoes with Tilly.

My only regret is speeding through some of the areas and not helping Mary in Saint Denis.

So yeah, I really loved the game, the epilogue gave me a satisfying end, and RDR2 is now favorite game, and probably will be for as long as I live

Yep, one of the best games of all time I think. I honestly was never much interested in the western genre itself, and bought the game on a whim. Now I’m all about it.

You’re right about it being an experience. The core story of Dutch’s descent, the unraveling of a group of friends, and the hard decisions Arthur and John make (ultimately redeeming them) is very artfully told. This could have been an epic critically acclaimed HBO series had it been done for TV. It’s that good. Not many video game stories ultimately feel that way.

Yeah, same! I didn’t like the western genre at all, then I played Fallout: New Vegas and RDR2 and I love the genre now.

The plot and writing was so good, I’d love to see it as a show, but the producers would probably mess it up somehow. All the characters felt so real and most of their deaths were super impactful

Yes, the story is absolutely better than most or even all of the movies and series I have ever seen, it is so logical yet so emotional and there is also no repetition or anything similar.
