I personally like 1898 because, although yeah RDO is a shitpile at least unlike the epilogue there's more shit to do, and you have an entire map to fuck around with friends and other things.
I wish there were an online mode set more out west, New Austin then Nevada and Arizona and Mexico, have it set in 1860 or 1870 which is the start and golden age of the "wild west". Died around the 1890s which means when I'm playing Red Dead Online it can sometimes be a little sad, considering what year it's set in, it's living through literally the last few days of the cowboy era. Thinking that it's 1898 and in less than two decades time, British tanks will be storming towards Cambrai, the first world war will be in full swing and the modern era will be here...
Even by the time of 1899 to be holstering some 1874 single action or an 1851 Navy Revolver seems really outdated, you ain't living in the time when this gun first came out, your living in 1898 the last time guns like this will ever be used.
Feels like the end of the road even though I just began my journey, wish we could play a red dead game set a decade or two in the past, take me back to the mid 1870s or 80s right in the heart of the wild west era eh?
Mausers are cool and all but Wyatt Earp used a six shooter.
^Agreed
I’d prefer 1898, RDO is by far my favourite online game ever. There’s so much to do and see there’s different roles, a bunch of stuff to get, and u can ass around with ur friends. Rdr, Rdr2 and RDO are by far my favourite games of all time, followed by the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
^^^How about the early 1800s? Flintlocks and muskets.
What do you think?
