Yes nuff said 😎 next question
That’s a good question. My answer is yes. I wish we could’ve seen the Blackwater heist gone wrong.
It caught my attention because Dutch always claims it was for the gang's survival which would be highly jeopardized if a member's identity is revealed instead of people just knowing their voices and fake names. Then no surprise with Micah persuading Dutch to kill her playing into some of Dutch's paranoid state at times shown throughout the game.
Probably but probably not it's pretty implied that Dutch got into a fit of rage when he saw that Pinkerton's where there waiting. He probably shot her out of rage. I think she may have inadvertently done something that provoked Dutch but he was likely pretty angry at the situation. However the point of Blackwater is to be mostly a mystery and likely chance Micah had his own plans too. We will likely never know what truly happened.
Yeah there's no telling of all the simple actions such as even a slight shifting motion to set Dutch off as in extreme circumstances when he'd under pressure to get ehe gang safely out of danger he sometimes doesn't think rationally such as when he lost it on Bronte and drowned him simply because he made idle threats to Diutch and the gang. Then strangling an old lady begging for more gold
I’ve always thought there was a bit more behind Heidi’s death as she is even mentioned by the strange man in RDR. in the stranger mission ‘I know you’ the dialogue starts like this
Strange Man: Hello, John. John Marston.
John: Do I know you?
Strange Man: I hope so. I seem to know you.
John: I'm pretty good at remembering faces.
Strange Man: Are you? Do you remember Heidi McCourt's face?
John: Who?
Strange Man: She was a girl Dutch van der Lindeshot in the head on that raid on the ferry a few years back. Same one you got shot on. Pretty girl... until her eye was hanging out by a thread of tendon, and her brain was plastered over a wall.
John: Not really.
Strange Man: Then why would you remember me, friend? You've forgotten far more important people than me.
Obviously all theories are up for debate but it would certainly seem that she was classed as the gangs downfall. If it wasn’t for her death would the gang have been chased into the mountains? Was there more behind her death, like was she married or related to someone high profile? Was she actually the missing princess (I just made that last theory up, but hey, I like that one the most haha)
What do you think?
