I wonder if rdr3 is going to be another prequel to rdr2 like rdr2 was to rdr1. Or maybe it could be a totally new storyline like gta games.

That's great, until you remember pretty much all of the creative talent that made RDR2 such a good game is now long gone. GTA 6 will be a test to see how much the new people can handle a story like we expect.

Based off the last 5 years of Cockstars bullshit. I doubt GTA 6 and RDR3 will live up to the hype. And will show that Rockstar are no longer the Rockstars of the industry anymore. More like a decrepit rockstar in his 80s who still thinks he's in his prime, when in reality hes a shell of what he once was, and the golden years aren't coming back.

The GTA shit edition that was so bad they cancelled the RDR1 and GTA 4 remaster

The abandonment of RDO

The absolute unholy shit state that GTA online is in

GTA+

Rockstar now taking content out of games and putting them behind a paywall

Not giving a fuck about their PC ports

The disappointing RDR1 port recently. Didn't even fucking put it on PC or PS5.

The ceaseless attacks on the modding community

Allowing hackers an modders to have a fuckin free for all on RDO and GTA online.

Abandoning DLC for RDR2

The creative talent that made Rockstar who they are, are now gone.

The laundry list of anti consumer practices just in the past 5 years

^ working hard on something doesn't guarantee something will be good. Im sure Grove Street games worked hard. Look how that fucking turned out. When your creative talent is leaving all at once like rats on a sinking ship, something bad is going on. I don't think a game where the top creative talent just abruptly leaves during or right before production has ever worked out in the end.

If the games good the game Is good. But I see nothing from this company in the last 5 years that gives me any sign that it is going to be. I mean their own CEO said two years ago rockstar is above and beyond just making a simple port of their games. Then not even two years later, make a simple port of GTA 5 on current gen, and these basic ass RDR1 ports on Switch and PS4. I mean to his credit though, the GTA Shit edition wasn't just a simple port, it was an unmitigated disaster and embarrassment.
