Moose. I have all of Pearson's camp upgrades crafted up except for the moose skull decoration. The only moose I have seen aside from the legendary one was on the old West Elizabeth side of the river just taunting me with its presence, for it knew I could shoot it but could never go across and skin it for fear of the omniscient Pinkertons spawning right on top of me. I believe I need potent bait, does bait make animals spawn or just attract local ones? I'll have to look that up.

Regarding snakes, small game arrows just need shotgun shells and flight feathers. Blast a few dozen birds out over the plains and front load them. I personally find getting perfect snake skins slightly tricky because you need to headshot them for a clean kill, but that's what Dead Eye is for.

For me it's crabs and snakes cuz you need small game arrows and those suck. Crabs are harder tho cuz they spawn in very few places only at the big island off of clemen's point and two small islands south of plainview

Panthers are a pain for me. So are small specific birds, which are a pain to get perfect carcasses for.

Definitely snakes! Even when I use small game arrows, I usually manage to mangle the skins. Moose are on the list as well for their rarity.

^How so? Because you hate making arrows, or just have trouble hitting them?

^^You have to hit it in the head for a clean kill and make sure you pull the bow all the way back or the shot won't be fatal and you'll ruin the skin. Use Dead Eye to hit the head.

^A bit of both. They are annoying to make, the animals are extremely small, so you don't hit that often and the lock-on aim doesn't always work and they always run between my horse's legs when hunting from horseback and lastly I feel like they are not lethal half of the time, ruining the pelt in the process.
