this game will be in a different universe from the Van der lindes and connected to grand theft auto series

Civil War like imagine you are just roaming around deserts of Texas or New Mexico and you run into a battlefield that would be awesome
States list I would love seeing Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, montana(like snowy place), Arizona for sure, California, Washington, Oregon basically any western USA. Maybe the furthest east you can go will be Texas Oklahoma and Kansas because rdr2 focused on the east and I have 0 desire to go to st Denis
Cities definitely gotta put Tombstone AZ in there and San Francisco like the western replacement for st Denis or maybe Seattle gotta put some deathvalley towns in there also like lead field. Also the Grand Canyon village. Yuma Arizona with its iconic prison
National Parks I would love seeing places like Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon, Deathvalley, monument valley, Yellowstone
We can’t make the map too big so maybe 3 states can do the job but I would love a big map so maybe SoCal, all of Arizona and New Mexico(because civil war) and the big city will be San Diego and Carlsbad CA I don’t want to see Los santos from gta 5
Story it would definitely be an outlaw state story maybe you start in Alamo sea where Trevor lived like the Joshua tree area robbing trains but then you explore more find new camps. There definitely will be a prison escape mission maybe like the Yuma Prison. I would love to see more bank robberies it can be a low honor story or about an outlaw who gets betrayed later on so he goes to take revenge on his gang. Also side characters could be people like Mark Twain, Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp, maybe some union general or confederacy general you can side with but those are gonna be like strangers and freaks.
Gangs: I want true American outlaws wearing all black clothes robbing banks like random encounters, I would love to see Mexican bandidos, maybe American outlaws that came from deadwood SD and they would be main antogonist gang they would be kind of like the odriscolls, I don’t want murfree brood or any of that stuff. Also maybe Apache tribe will be like the bad tribe and they have encounters of like shooting wagons with arrows or massacring traveler camps, there would be a good tribe who wants peace but are good fighters like Navajo or Shoshone. West had lot of Native Americans so avoiding them is a bad thing. The natives can have wars between each other also.
Weapons: no pistols just revolvers but or maybe pistols only for city cops and it would just be volcanic pistol because it’s 1860s I would love seeing lots of Gatling guns, Henry repeater return, navy revolvers
Choices there would definitely be lot of them and it’s not like just do the mission or not it’s more like what weapons should the gang use for the heist or who you choose to trust
Wanted system I think if you like massacre every single town and city you will get the army sent after you they will have cannons and all that stuff.
I agree, I think that Van der Linde universe has run its end. As much as I would like to see real life places, I think that might create some legal complications and design issues, which is why they just made mimicked stuff in rdr and rdr2. Other than that I totally agree
The main protagonist should be named Chris Aubrey and voiced by @Helvigster

You might laugh now, but after I get this gig at Rockstar Toronto and MY name is in the credits for Red Dead Redemption III, NO one - I mean NOBODY - will be laughing anymore.
In all seriousness, I think this idea is fine. I just don't agree with #1, if the game isn't about Dutch and his "sons", that's fine, but I don't want Red Dead to be directly connected with GTA. It's not necessary to connect the two because of how much of a time gap there is between the latest point in Red Dead, and the earliest point in the HD Universe of GTA. What is it, like a 90 year gap or something between Jack gunning down Ross and the Prologue of GTA 5? I don't think it's worth it. Let both of these games have their separate universes.
@Helvigster yeah not necessary to connect them but it has to be different universe due to the fact it would be hard to connect redemption universe map to my concept

I love-hate this idea. For me, make the states larger...Give regions that are supposed "counties" actual towns....I kind of wanna see where Jack's story is gonna be, or see the characters we didn't get to see or interact with in RDRII Like Jenny and the Callander Brothers. I would love to see some real-life states like Arizona, maybe add extensive regions to New Austin and West Elizabeth to give that "new frontier" feel. And finally see the Northern Grizzlies, because Ambarino with no towns still feels goofy.
@Just a random gameplayer i think jacks story wouldn’t be as fun because all the gangs are put to an end by 1914 everything was gone. Which removes the concept of red dead like no more Wild West. In my concept obviously there are gonna be counties for states plus I don’t want to see places like Lemoyne again because so much bad memories and not so western. I think all the red dead redemption 2 places served well

Really good idea! Although I figure making it the GTA universe would be a bit confusing, so maybe like just keep adding parts to the map? Maybe fill in the bottom of the map? Like from new Austin to below Saint Denis? (Actually no, cuz isn't the red dead revolver map canonically below New Austin due to Twin Rocks?) But i do agree, the story has run dry for the Van Der Linde gang. We could have before the events of rdr2, but the only interesting mission would be the Blackwater heist, and other than that itd just be us waiting for the moment where all 3 love interests of the characters die (Eliza, Bessie and Annabelle although I think they may be different time periods in which they were alive). Sadly as much as I wanna see it due to how little info we have, we can't just keep clinging onto the Van Der Linde gang otherwise it'll become the Disney Star Wars of just filling in the little gaps. I think a civil war one could work, especially with Lemoyne raiders either as the main gang, or enemies.
