Both families owned slaves but the way I see it, atleast the Grays didn't resort to selling moonshine to the Lemoyne Raiders for the local mafia, kidnapping a child, or locking their children in outhouses to hide them.

Grays killed Sean plus they were slave owners not a nice Scottish rich family

Sean burned their crops and murdered a bunch of the guards at Caliga Hall, the slave thing is obviously inexcusable but they were justified in executing him like they did

@GoldenPegasus5 I still think in their prime days they were even more ruthless than braithwaites although braithwaites kidnapped Jack. Grays probably do that good guy act because in the past they probably exploited so many slaves

My Scottish bias leans towards the Grays. It doesn't help that the Braithwaites are also depicted doing more heinous acts such as kidnapping a child.

The Gray family killing Sean McGuire makes them infinitely better than the Braithwaites.

Half-jokes aside, the Grays certainly show themselves to be a bit more willing to put their past as slavers behind them, considering they don't affiliated with the racist, neo-confederate militia that is the Lemoyne Raiders.

Most of the Braithwaites, some of the Grays, but I like the 2 fellow RDR Leigh's: Gray and Johnson, but I prefer Johnson.
