I would have to say Arthur’s since his took the longest. Dutch’s was probably the best out of these since it was instant and went out on his own while also being sick as shit

@Wadster you’re probably right but Dutch’s death seems worst to me, as your body is being cracked and broken. I mean, he fell on the back on a tough surface 😫

John’s took a while, all those bullets and not one got his head. Arthur knew it was coming at least and got to die knowing he helped John, so somewhat peacefully. Dutch though literally committed suicide. He knew it was coming and it was his choice. John’s is the worst

If I was going to choose how to die in the 1800s I'd either choose death by firing squad (John) or jumping off a cliff (Dutch). It seems like the least painful way to go without a lethal injection or dying in your sleep, tuberculosis must've been horrible back then in comparison.

I don't wanna come across as trying to be edgy or anything, but as a point of fact being shot doesn't hurt as much as popular media would have you believe, but of course individual experiences vary.

I'd say TB as Arthur was in peak condition and one of if not the strongest member of the Van Der Linde Gang. Yet with TB he's worn down ,struggles to eat/drink and sleep while also being affected by the weather. Worst of all is while suffering with TB he still engages in shootouts and an outlaw lifestyle ultimately having to fight in a losing effort against Micah. As for Dutch his death is swift and with John's situation after a few deaths he bleeds out and dies since the firing squad shot him in quick succession as each shooting him one shot at a time. I'm pretty sure if John just walked out unarmed they would've put him down faster but since he came out guns blazing one last stand they decided to make him an example as he's forced to watch the man he hates the most Ross in his final moments.
