I hate to sound like a nerd, but it is technically a town that has undergone its own industrialization and technological boom. So one could argue it’s a advanced town or a small city

Thats not how cities and towns work. It depends on population size and to an extent land area, not if the religious structure is a tiny church or the Notre Dame.
