It's quite strange that Edgar and Archer aren't in the final shootout in The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed.

I mean, the whole scene could be a cutscene. John would pull out the revolver, but before that, the agents would shoot him, a metaphor that John is old, that he is no longer the same and that his time has passed. That's how I would do it, actually.
