When you ask the average gamer, "What is the worst chapter of Red Dead Redemption 2?" you may get some mixed answers, but the one chapter that will be stated more than the others is Chapter Five, the Guarma chapter. The Guarma Chapter is rather disliked by the community for its very weird position in the storyline and how it fits into the story like an obese passenger on an airplane seat. It is also criticized for underutilizing its main setting: the island of Guarma, along with underutilizing antagonists that had a lot of potential, such as Alberto Fussar and @Levi de Santa- I mean Levi Simon.
Anyways, even though Ch. 5 is a hot mess in a lot of ways, it is also pretty damn good in other aspects. You see Dutch's descent to madness and the heightened feeling of "Where the hell am I?" and "I want to get the hell out of here." You're literally put into Arthur's thoughts. Then again, the chapter also sticks out like a sore thumb because of this. This is why I am revising Chapter Five, adding new missions, storylines, locations, and characters. I'm keeping the good parts and improving on the bad parts, all of it being on this blog post I made!

Keep in mind that this is entirely conceptual, and I will also be adding other elements that were cut from the original Guarma island (back when it was originally known as Guama); this includes towns and landmarks and utilizing the sheer massive size of Guarma (the actual island is massive). I've made custom mission titles, plots, and more for each mission in this revised chapter, so I hope you read this!
P.S.: I copied most of this from my intro in the blog post because I'm lazy as hell and I'm tired. But give feedback on the blog post, voicing your praise or concerns!

this are NOT OFFICIAL From Rockstar Games.
Its just a remake, because Guarma Flag have not remastered Flag and Coat Of Arms.
So, I am in chapter 4 (third or fourth playthrough) and was starting to get a little bored with the confines of the map. So, I decided to get to Guarma early! The pluses of this are that you won’t have an invisible sniper in Aguasdulces or any hostile Cuban soldiers.
So, step by step. My first step was to stock up on alcohol- aged pirate rum was the best, only two doses needed to be racked out. Then, head into the Devil’s Cave in Big Valley. Once you venture far enough into the cave, start drinking like your wife just left you.
When you wake up, you’ll wake up outside of the map! The good thing is that horses spawn outside the map, although I got a little lazy and used cheats to spawn an Arabian. Ride around the edge of the map to get some cool pictures, although don’t venture too close as you might get picked off by the New Austin sniper.
I snapped this beauty outside Tall Trees. Anyways, keep riding along the edge of the map for a while, it takes an hour at the least. I recommend turning on a show or sitcom while riding. Keep riding until you reach the Sea of Coronado, where you will then follow the banks of the San Luis until it is narrow enough to swim through. This is the hardest part of the trip in my opinion, as right after the San Luis is a crap ton of uneven land that you must get past. However, once you get past that, you get some beautiful views of Nuevo Paraíso.
Near the very south of the map, you’ll notice a straight black line. Follow it and ride eastward while avoiding the low-poly meshes (you’ll fall through them). Once you right just south of about Rhodes, you’ll notice the HUD now says “Guarma,” and you may notice the island sticking out of the map.
Still, continue riding eastward. Continue until the map of Guarma itself pops up. Then, continue riding east until you find a low poly mesh. Ride into it, and you will die a very graceful death, respawning in Guarma!
NOTE: you do lose your horse this way, but cmon… look at that photo.

I just realized that a lot of Red Dead 2 reminds me of Uncharted, which isn’t a bad thing by any means, but they have quite a few things in common.
•Arthur/John both have an accessible journal like Nathan Drake which you can flip through.
•They sketch things and locations they come across, though the RDR journal is more focused on writing the character’s thoughts and recapping the story.
•The melee system in both is pretty similar and has an emphasis on brawling and counters.
•You come across and explore lot of abandoned places, though that’s a given in any open world game.
•Guarma seems like a location right out of Drake’s Fortune and A Thief’s End.
•The Strange Statue puzzle is another thing that would fit right in Uncharted.
Like I said, that isn’t a bad thing at all and probably wasn’t intentional, in fact, I love exploration elements in games and it gives me hope that more exploration elements are in GTA 6 or any upcoming game that R* has upcoming.
We all either giggled and had a wtf moment when we saw this on guarma
When we arrive in the island we soon learn that there is an on going war about guarma. Now I think that it maybe a quick nod (it being war themed and all)
To the on going Spanish American war.
Not saying that it is apart of the real war but it could be a slight reference to that ongoing inflict.

A person suggested a possible inclusion of Guarma and Saint Denis in GTA 6, and Guarma will be south of Vice city and Saint Denis and Lemoyne will be North west of Vice City. Any thoughts on this?
A lot of people really don’t like Chapter 5: Guarma. It has the most cinematic introduction out of every other chapter and in my opinion it’s only downside is being too short. The amount of story missions could even stay the same, but the Guarma map should have been bigger and a have a couple more stranger missions.
Also there should have been a character you meet who goes back and forth between Saint Dennis and Guarma that you can pay to revisit.
Heres a funny idea. If you were able to revisit Guarma in the epilogue they should have a statue of Arthur. Since he practically won a war for them.
I'm sure someone has thought of this before but I'm not sure micah is the one who ratted out the gang to the Pinkerton's. Sure, He's a prick who deserved that explosive slug in the face from john at the end but was he the rat? First off, he wasn't responsible for the blackwater ferry job or bank job going wrong, as he didn't tell the Pinkerton's until after guarma as milton tells you while rescuing abigail. Molly however coulve ratted them out. Milton claims he released her after she didn't give up any information, but as well are told later in the game by either charles or sadie (I can't remember) that strauss was killed by the Pinkerton's after not giving up info. However, if molly complied they may have let her live to work as an asset. Perhaps milton was telling arthur and sadie that micah was the rat so that if they escaped then they would cause division within the gang. Well. I've already written a partial essay on this now so let me know what you all think of it!

She treated them like ass the entire way through the tunnels, calling them names and the like, and then has the nerve to pull a knife on them and demand more money? Dutch says "she would've betrayed us anyway" but in my eyes trying to rob them at knife point is already a bloody betrayal. She wasn't a defenseless old woman she was a dangerous old crone, and Dutch was probably (understandably) fucked off with recent events, having to bring himself as low as trying to barter with a stranger is the last on his mind. It would've made much more sense if she didn't pull a knife on them and instead Dutch just killed her for no reason, they wouldn't have even had to change the dialogue cus Arthur is as outraged as he would be if Dutch killed a defenseless old woman.
Every other "evil" action Dutch does deserves the outrage he gets, but not the killing of Gloria.
