I notice on the wikia it says that Dutch and Miss Grimshaw were once romantically involved. While I do see them as a couple can anyone tell me where its mentioned. I've played the game from start to finish 4 times now and I still don't know. Is there a campfire conversation I just never saw or is there a written document that says they were together.

While I can't think of a reason for why Javier would be there, that doesn't mean it couldn't have happened. I didn't think Dutch would return on th e epilogue since he went off the radar after the gang fell apart, but he did. Also in regards to Javier 's price on his head here's what I'm thinking. One can argue that John shouldn't be in areas such as Blackwater since it was publicly known that he took part in the bloodiest massacre the city 's ever known and yet John no t only returned years later, but he purchased a plot of land under his real name. My reason for saying this is that I'm trying to point that reasonable thinking may not work out as well as you believe because in my experience almost nothing is beyond the realm of possibilities.
At first I wasn't too sure. I know that Mary knew what words to say to Arthur in order to convince him to help her (depending on the player). However there are two moments where I believe Mary's feelings for Arthur was genuine. The 1st time was when she asked Arthur to run away with her, when Arthur essentially turned her down I could see how hurt she was that her love continued on a treacherous path. The last time was when she visited Arthur's grave. Mary definitely took advantage of Arthur's kindness, but I believe those emotions were real because there was nothing for her to gain visiting a deadman. While I do believe Mary loved Arthur, that love wasn't enough.
While I can't neccesarily prove it, I think it's possible that Javier reunited with John in between time-skips in a similar manner that John met back up with Charles and Sadie. Maybe John invited Javier to live with him at the farm and mentioned his kids during small talk, but Javier still wasn't able to accept it. John mentioned that when the gang fell apart, Javier had took it the worst. There's no doubt in my mind that John met up with him at some point and got to see how his brother declined from the noble revolutionary to the stone cold hitman.

Realistically, I think you're right.
Maybe give Jack more of a storyline like how John interacted with people Arthur came in contact with you could do the same with Jack. Also give Jack more of a storyline to show what happened to him after he killed Edgar Ross.
I think the reason Jack is disliked so much or at least in terms of the first game because John's death was so sudden. We spent so much time with John as the protagonist it was already hard to let him go and on top of that,we the player don't spend as much time with Jack apart from knowing he's our son. Having said that Young Jack in rdr2 was what really changd my opinion we were able to grow up with him the way we got to spend time with Dutch and the others
