Grand Scale DLC from Rockstar I fear is thing of the past.
With the high complexity of Rockstar modern Open World Games, a DLC would take years to make. Also with the profitability of Online gaming, it would make any financial sense for Rockstar to take away any development of Online for Signle Player DLC.
Let's be honest GTA 6 is a launching point for a new GTA Online, Red Dead Redemption 2 no longer receives attention because they couldn't effectively monotize Red Dead Online.
In 1914 Jack is basically a mirror image of a young John Marston.
Trust me Jack is John's son and besides it would do the story a disservice if he was anyone else's son. John's whole story is critical on his ability to accept that he is a father and he has to see his family right and in the end, he gives up his life for it.
Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 at its core have been about the downfall of Old West. The Van Der Linde Gang have always been the tragic characters we see face that new reality. A game about the gang in its prime would not make sense. We know what's gonna happen to all of them so any victory in a prequel about their prime would be a hollow victory.
If the have to do RDR3 and focus on the gang than it should be a sequel to RDR1 and wrap up the stories of Jack and tie up loose ends. I can't imagine Jack, Sadie and Charles will be able to avoid the same fate as the rest of the gang for much longer after 1914.
The RDR1 portions of the map were messed up completely. I get that not everything would be there in 1899 that was there in 1911 but it could of been more alive than that.
Also Armadillo should of been more active and at should have been fully functional in Red Dead Online at least.
I would say Ross is worst. Mainly cause I can't even respect him as an individual. Micah was a cold blooded character who is out to survive by any means necessary but at least he knows he is a bad guy as lives by it. Ross on the other hand is a cold blooded character who uses other people to do their dirty work and pretends to be the good guy but he will stab you in the back.
As much as I hate someone like Micah I do respect him more. Than characters like Strauss , Ross , Sadie, Dutch, Cornwall, and Reyes. These are people who pretend to be the good guy but are really mostly out for themselves or they are fooling themselves into thinking they are doing the right thing while also trying to fool others. At least Characters like Micah, Arthur , John , Abigail, Charles, and Bonnie are true to who they are or at least learn to be by the end of their story.
Probably but probably not it's pretty implied that Dutch got into a fit of rage when he saw that Pinkerton's where there waiting. He probably shot her out of rage. I think she may have inadvertently done something that provoked Dutch but he was likely pretty angry at the situation. However the point of Blackwater is to be mostly a mystery and likely chance Micah had his own plans too. We will likely never know what truly happened.
It's suggested that the dam broke sometime after the events of RDR2 and that why the river is too high in RDR1 and John and Jack can't travel to Big Valley.
He is probably one of the best written characters in the series. I will say one thing I like about him in missions is unlike most other characters his contributions to a fire fight is more noticable, so in terms of combat I do like having him. Although like everyone says he is the antagonist and he's designed for the player to eventually outright hate him.
A DLC set around 1907-1911. Have it be about a new character who comes into contact with Dutch and shows the events of how Dutch formed his new gang after the events of rdr2. I still think there is a lot to explore there.
I just named mine after Davy Crockett
I've seen it but I don't think it's a red dead issue, I think Red Dead gets unfairly picked off for it because of the time period its set in and the fact that a section of the game is set in a southern state during the late 19th century. I mean it's gaming, people can hide behind a mic and try to be that A**h**e they can never be in real life but I don't think it's a Red Dead Online specific issue. There is plenty of that stuff and maybe even more depending on the popularity in other online games. GTA Online, COD Warzone , Fortnite, Minecraft, Halo, they all got it but that's why consoles give us a block button.
The events in Red Dead Revolver is viewed at as a myth in the main Red Dead Redemption Universe, Im sure Red Harlow and other characters from that game exist in Red Dead Redemptions universe somewhere even if there not part of the games story. Kinda like how Grand Theft Autos HD Universe treats the 3D Universe. They general events of those games happened in the HD Universe but they probably didnt go exactly like the 3d Universe games go. As for Red Dead I Believe games like Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Online are viewed at as a loose canon in the main Red Dead Story line. Undead Nightmare is likely not canon mainly because you have to kill Uncle earlier than his real death. I say look at the Universe the way you want to. Each GTA and Red Dead game can stand on its own, so the canon is what you make of it.
Let's go on a theory that Micah did die, honestly the only thing that would change would be the ending. Blackwater still already happened and Arthur will go after Downes regardless of Micah being alive or dead. So gang is gonna fall apart due to growing pinkerton pressure and Arthur will get TB eventually. The only big change would be how chapter 6 plays out. The pinkerton's probably take longer to find the Lagras camp but the gang would still need money. Dutch would likely still create a rucess with the Indians and Cornwall. Arthur still getting TB might still trigger him to help everyone get out of the gang but Ross and Milton would have still pursued them till they were dead. So end result the gang disbands , Arthur surcumbs to TB and John makes it out. Then comes the epilogue were the real difference is made. John never hunts down Micah so Ross doesn't have a starting point for his trail to John. By 1911 Ross would still be hunting Dutch and the others and would have still looked for John. There's still a good chance Ross would find him and most of the events of rdr1 would happen.
As Ross said in RDR 1 ( instead of admiring the flowers , he shoots people in the head for money and disagreeing with him) whatever you opinion is on Ross , he's not wrong.
Dutch has his delusions of grandeur and he takes it too far. He is willing to kill and betray anyone and everyone he knows to get there.
He has dreams of taming the Wild West but the Wild West is almost gone.
"He man at the end of his career trying to cling onto something that's already gone." -Captain Monroe
If they do a map extension (and I don't know if they will) it will be the Mexico part of the map. The geography is mostly complete and the texture files for all the cities is in the game files. It probably wouldn't be too difficult for rockstar to revisit that but the map is already huge as it is and they might just leave it.
Because at first the gang just wanted to head east for a short time in order for the heat to die down head back to Blackwater to collect and then they wanted to make a run for New Austin and keep heading west to get land. If you go fishing with Dutch and Hosea they talk about how they planned on lieing low in New Austin after Blackwater
That's why they stayed at Horseshoe , they just wanted to lie low but we all know that didn't work.
She lost her husband (a man who did everything he could to get her that ranch and get her a life that she deserved and couldn't give her for so long) and saw Jack training to be an outlaw to avenge his father the one thing that Abigail didn't want him to become.
She probably was stressed and depressed , over whelmed and broken hearted and she lost the will to live and over time she just died.
It's not that big of a deal if you ask me , Arthur was not even thought of yet when making RDR1 and considering how the rdr2 story went. Once John killed Micah there wasn't much left for John to say about Arthur and at least we know John keeps him well into his thoughts.
Boats and mini games like dominoes and five finger fillet at camp
Ross, giving John a false sense of hope , sending John to do his dirty work and the betraying him by sending an army to his house to kill him (and even killed uncle in the process).
