Here's the issue with your point. This:

Is your interpretation.

Whether Ross always possessed his mentality or picked it up from Milton is completely unknown.

Ross could've gotten more extreme after Milton's death or he could've already been an extremist who was held back by Milton, with his death allowing Ross to "exercise his authority" so to speak. Both are equally valid interpretations.

We don't know. You certainly don't know, as you only described Ross's personality in the first game. You couldn't tell me if Ross had the same "above the law" mentality as he does in the first game.

The problem is that Milton and Ross' personalities are more or less interchangeable. They both fight for society despite its flaws, they share a smug sense of superiority, often go on long monologues about anarchy or some such, etc, etc.

Really, you could replace Ross with Milton and the only change of the story would be how to write around Abigail shooting him.

The relationship between the two is underdeveloped. Ross only speaks once in a cutscene (Enjoy your fishing kid, while you still can) and is heard yelling during the final mission of Chapter 6 (after Milton's death).

It makes me wonder why they created Milton in the first place, when they could've easily had Ross as the main Pinkerton agent chasing after the gang.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to explore the mysteries of the first game, especially regarding any potential information.

I still find it strange how that user was able to predict that the Blackwater Massacre was an event involving outlaws vs lawmen all the way back in 2011.

Going through his history, he appears to have been an admin and a reliable editor, not one for making up fanfiction.

The post states that the body count came from the "Blackwater Massacre" page created in 2013, which is false. From what I have researched, it came from LyHungViet in an edit for the "Blackwater" page in 2011.

Also, the post states that:

"At one point, the person responsible for said information stated that the number of deaths originated from "pre-launch material", however, after a rigorous investigation, no such information could be found."

What the poster is referring to was a discussion between me and @Aiden4017 back in March 2019. Aiden was not the person responsible for stating the body count, that would be LyHungViet.

What particularly gets me is that the page has *always* said that the massacre was a battle between outlaws and lawmen. How LyHungViet got that information isn't known to me.

You're missing my point. It's not her attitude with John *pursuing* Micah (which is consistent with the Pronghorn Ranch section).

It's her attitude *after* John has killed Micah.

After John killed Micah and returned to Beecher's Hope, she doesn't admonish him for pursing Micah. She hugs him and then marries him.

*That* is not consistent with the Pronghorn Ranch section. If it was, then she would take Jack and leave John.

I actually feel her problem lies elsewhere. Sure, John built the house, but he decided that it was both his *and* Abigail's. It was his decision.

Instead, her problem is inconsistent responses to John's actions in the Pronghorn Ranch section and her response after John kills Micah, as I highlighted in my previous comment.

She is a little inconsistent:

• Gets mad at John for getting back their stolen wagon.

• Reprimands John for defending a man who was being beaten.... right in-front of the man he saved.

• Is livid at John for defending Pronghorn Ranch (where they lived at).

• Leaves John after defending their son against people who want to kill them.

But:

• Married John after he went after Micah. Yes she protested and cried, but when he came back, she hugged him and married him.

Bear in mind that his actions at Pronghorn Ranch had strong justification, that being either self-defense or defending others. But the game sides with Abigail and as such, the fans side with her in those instances.

John going after Micah was purely due to pride and selfishness on John's part and Abigail was actually right to stop him. The game signals that going after Micah is ultimately what led to the Bureau to find John, meaning the game actual sides with Abigail here.

But since fans hate Micah for killing Arthur, the fans side with John in that instance.

Obviously, with any given community, there's unfortunately going to be bigots. But to imply that the people who dislike Abigail do so because she's a woman is ridiculous. I've seen plenty of female players dislike Abigail.

Your point would work if Abigail had the same reaction to John going after Micah as she did with John during the Pronghorn Ranch section.

But she doesn't.

That's unfair. Back then, women had to do it to survive. Plus, we don't know if Mary-Beth was a prostitute or not.

I found Sadie and Abigail to be extremely unlikeable. I like Susan, but she doesn't have much of a role.

Bonnie has always been a great character.

1. Sinclair is a good guy all around.

2. Hayden obviously has some sort of mental disorder from the war. It's unfortunate PTSD wasn't understood very well in that timeframe.

3. Mickey is not a soldier, it's just an outfit he uses to gain sympathy. He's a thief and liar.

4. Butler was a confederate soldier and thus fought to preserve a racist and dehumanizing institution. He doesn't seem to regret it either.
