I apologize for how confusing this post will read, but it is entirely Microsoft’s fault, with the most bafflingly convoluted console naming convention possible. Just to help clear things up right at the start:
* Xbox One X, a mid-generation update for the Xbox One which added things like 4K. The Xbone.
* The Xbox Series X, the just released new generation console with all the fancy guts n’ such. The Fridge.
Browsing the Xbox store it says RDR2 is enhanced for the Xbox One X, with some improved visuals over what the base model Xbone had. Does anyone know if these are installed or active by default, or are they buried in a menu or the Xbox store where they have to be manually downloaded? I’ve browsed around, but not seen anything. Plenty of online graphics comparisons, but nothing that says “click this to download buttery goodness.”
I ask because I never had the Xbone X and have been steadily rocking the old Day One Edition from the last launch cycle. Now having picked up a series X, I was curious to see RDR2, an already beautiful game, dolled up even more. Any insight would be great!
