Well ... I’m trying to get the legendary bighorn ram for crafting . So I went to it’s location , which said “ legendary animal territory “ . But didnt show that when I went to the map . I didn’t get any clues either while I searched a wide area . It’s clearly broken . Has anyone else had this experience?? and can I fix this ? This game has some strange quirks .

@Patrick Milliken another good spot is near the trapper in Big Valley ( between trapper and road ) . Bow with poison arrows worked best for me ,
What I still don’t understand : I completed the mission , didn’t encounter them for the rest of the story . The night folk seemed to be gone . In the epilogue I went back to the bayou for a treasure . Saw a corpse hangin from a tree , stopped to look at it , and BAM! There they were , still mentioned as “ strangers”
There were many deadly diseases at the turn of the century . Spanish flu , typhoid , cholera . armadillo got basically destroyed by one disease after the other . don’t forget that people more often than not did die premature , and Abigail would be in her late 30 s in 1914 . People were considered old at that age, and looked old . Arthur for example , he was 37 !! I would have believed late 40s as well
Most likely tbc , it was a mass murderer back in those days . I still don’t understand why no one else in the gang got tuberculosis due to beeing in Arthurs presence and lacking any proper hygiene or decent healthcare . It was very infectious . But no one got sick for some strange reasons . In the real world they wouldn’t even need the pinkertons , just let nature do its work and the Whole gang would be gone in no time
Arthur is inspired on multiple historical figures , plus heavily on john Wayne , frankly : on john Wayne in particular
In fvd original game , Dutch was even more violent and had recruited indians for his new gang ... the army went after him for a reason
Wait till you get jumped by a panther . These are annoying .. I got it when I robbed a stagecoach and was chased by a ton of law .. fled into that forest near Rhodes . Suddenly my horse got spooked , threw me off and I got panthered
I rode through black bone forest and they even joined forces ... 4 wolves and one cougar simultaneously.. I got attacked by wolves and started killing them ... I accidently killed a cougar in the process as well .. he had clearly joined in .

It makes sense ,the gangs do reflect that . In chapter 6 , micah has risen in favor . Dutch has completely lost his mind and the murfree brood is around the corner , even the murfree brood reflects the state of the gang at that moment . The skinner brothers in the epilogue are a case on it’s own . They are just a badge engineered clone of the murfree brood and are nothing like johns situation at moment . The Laramie gang and the del lobos arent either . The one thing that seems symbolic is the cougar lurking near the entrance of Beecher hope . as arthur stated “ you don’t see a cougar , it sees you first ! “ . In my eyes it means “ your being watched , impening doon is coming “ the cougar is a metaphore for the bureau of investigation
It would be possible to make a sequel with jack but they have to ditch the Wild West then . If they go forward and place it in the Great Depression ( and the rise of the mob ) it would make an interesting story . Jack would make a great mobster as well
Let’s have a Native American protagonist .. sounds like a fresh and new idea
Uncle worshipped as a god in the Congo would be a cool add story . Would be a great presequel as well .. I can already see a legendary monster size hippo . Believe me .. the legendary panther would be a kitten compared to that
I didn’t like saint denis ... it felt pretty empty to me and didn’t add much to the “ Wild West” vibe
I would add a wagon that you can use while hunting . going back and forth with one pelt or one animal on horseback can become tedious .especially if these are pels from big animals . or cougars . The ability to donate things to Abigail in the epilogue would also be a good thing . A ledger at the farm too

If Arthur didn’t get TB he sure would have been nicer to him . It would have changed the story completely. Arthur wouldn’t question Dutch motives and the events in general in the intense way he did after his diagnosis. Micah wouldn’t be able to manipulate Dutch in the way it played out. Strauss would have stayed in camp and the epilogue would probably feature rancher arthur and Mary linton plus son . ( probably not near blackwater ) , or Arthur and Mary going to “ Tahiti “ ?. Micah would have been killed by Arthur and john would probably never been killed by Edgar Ross . That would have been Arthur’s fate . Mary’s Son wouldn’t have become an outlaw either

I agree ... I already wondered : what’s the point of “ tempest rim” if it isn’t accessible ??
Uncle would be a great protagonist for the next game . I got the feeling he wasn’t always the lying and parasitic drunkard he is in the other games . Seems like a fun character to center on and he was in his haydays in the height of the Wild West
I have done a lot of side missions I loved but the two strands that I loved most were “ he’s british , of course “ , the one with the serial killer and “ a fine night for it “ , I really really got sucked into these missions
