Perhaps you’re on to something? Maybe in RDR 3 you could just be a horse!🐴 Eh? Eh? Who’s with me?!
I like them all and use them all changing clothes regularly. But if I have to pick one for the poll then store bought is best. The default clothes are in terrible repair. Crafted is good for being out in the wilderness but looks a little too rough for being in town.
@DaDragonSavage so…you’re saying at the same time as RDR 1 or 2? (1911 or 1899)
I agree with the majority - pre RDR 2 so more of the “golden age” of the “old west”. I’m not sure when that would be exactly.
Maybe the 1860s? Then could potentially mix in some civil war intrigue as side content.
@H. Roosevelt I agree your point but not that those who disagree “lack the capacity to think beyond one dimension”.
@H. Roosevelt I initially clicked like on your post but removed it after I read the rude ad hominem attack. You would be more effective just making your point without personal attacks.
@CyberTheSeaWing i agree that the st Denis bank robbery was worse with losing Hosea and also Lenny but didn’t they lose three in blackwater? The two Calendar brothers, Davy and Mac, and then Jenny too?
Wut?
Waiting for RDR 1 to come to PC. What a disappointment this last year BTW. I believed we were about to get an RDR 1 remake in the RDR 2 engine. But we didn’t get that…or even just a remaster…or even so much as a simple PC port!
RNFTD!😭
I actually wish I didn’t see this lol. Games aren’t as much fun when wealth comes to quick/easy. Makes it more fun to get a cool weapon or clothes or whatever when it doesn’t come easy.
Well FWIW another respawning bit of wealth I discovered is the lockbox in the graveyard in the swamp behind shady bell. I think it’s cash and/or jewelry.
Never knew that. Why were they removed?
@Nomad416 same. Arthur just doesn’t seem like some sadistic psychopath. He can do what he believes he has to do but he takes no pleasure in hurting others.
Actual psychopaths in the gang would be: Dutch, Micah, Cleet, Joe, Sean (he chatted and joked with that plantation worker on the carriage one moment and then didn’t hesitate to kill him in cold blood the next)…I’m not sure about Bill.
I think pretty much everyone else has some level of empathy and believes/believed/wants to believe in Dutch’s Robin Hood BS.
I’ve never been able to play evil Arthur past the point where you have the choice to save the guy dangling off the cliff in Chapter 2. The game is so realistic feeling that I find it too disturbing to be evil. At least so far.
And also Arthur just doesn’t feel evil to me. Not in the cold blooded sense anyway.
Maybe I’ll try again to play evil Arthur for my next play through. Maybe I can succeed at it if I’m not a purist. Maybe a middle of the road Arthur. I dunno.
I’m sorry, what is this about Dutch being a cannibal? I’ve never heard of this before.
No doubt. Perhaps they even could have made it to retirement on the mango farm in the South Pacific.
The first time I played RDR2…without knowing anything about the story (including even other red dead games) I knew even then it was a terribly bad idea to rescue Micah from Strawberry.
Right off the bat I despised him and knew he was a terrible person with his first racist comment. If I had full control of Arthur there’s no way I would have rescued him. And even if I had saved him there were a hundred opportunities after that to deal with him before it was too late.
Nobody but Dutch would have missed him and Dutch would have got over it soon enough. So long as Hosea was around he’d have kept Dutch from going off the deep end. They could have made it.
