I definitely agree that Arthur and Micah are better than the old gunslingers, but only because they’re all old and past their prime. In their young age they could probably beat Arthur and John.

I really hate when people think main characters are the best at anything they do just because they’re the main character

With that in mind, I really appreciate the mission where you hunt the gunslingers because I see it as an opportunity for Arthur to learn new techniques from the old pros

I wouldn't mind a Jack sequel. I definitely feel like the series is over but if anything I believe Jack has a lot of potential to have an interesting, stand alone story. Maybe even skip ahead ten years and Jack has a family and something similar happens to RDR1

I definitely disagree with the idea that his character is unlikable, I’m sure 14 year old Arthur was just as annoying as Jack was.

Essentially I don’t think it’s possible since red dead 2 and GTA take place in different universes (tragic, I know) since New York and California are mentioned as opposed to liberty city and San Andreas

I think it’s possible John only took one just to spite him. He has a loose collection of handguns and he only took one because he knew leaving one there to rot on the mountain top would insult Micah’s memory

I see the cattleman revolver as Arthur’s cannon custom revolver since it’s the only one with the “hero” grip you can unlock

I understand what they were going for with Lennys’ death, but instead of being a traumatizing death where it’s in the heat of the moment and you’re forced to go on without him, it just ends up being rushed and almost like you can’t focus on it because of all the stuff going on. Sean’s death is great, because you can absolutely see it coming as soon as he turns around to say “now it doesn’t feel right?” You’re forced to watch when you know what’ll happen

Role ive thought about would include gambling where they bring back that steamboat and you can FINALLY gamble with NPC’s and they can bring back liars dice!

I always kill him. In my opinion Arthur’s turning point from bad honor to good honor happens slowly through the games story, hitting a breaking point after TB diagnosis. Since it’s so early in the story, I see it as obvious that Arthur let him fall, since otherwise he’d be letting a HUGE risk to the gang go free, for no practical reason.

However I hate how the animation for letting him fall has Arthur slowly and methodically crunch his fingers with his boot. I think that’s a bit much and totally out of character for him.

Honestly character preferences aside, I can’t decide between the two of them

I like the Lemoyne raiders. They’ve got more cohesive backstory to them and an actual goal in mind for what they do. Not to mention I like their uniforms

I like the poncho a lot. Showing John assimilating to Mexico in such a small way is neat to see

Legendary catfish. Getting to that restricted island using a ‘serviceable at best’ rowing mechanic with boats that spawn randomly and then row all the way back once you get it. Doing all that is a bigger pain in the rear than any kind of physical challenge from any of the legendary animals

While I agree that the red dead games center on John and his story entirely, Arthur is a much superior character in every way.

The votes for Sadie are only for her because “Female character is strong and female.” Micah has been a gunslinger since he was at least 17 years old and has shown himself to be very competent in a shootout. Micah is a completely horrible person on a personal level but denying his skill in favor of the “good guys” is just silly.
