I sure want another red dead, but not one that follows the same story as redemption 1 & 2. Redemption‘s moral of the story is that you can’t outrun the sins of the past. I feel like another red dead game that follows the same story would make redemption 1 & 2 kind of less special. Maybe there could be a totally new red dead that is in the golden age of the Wild West?
Idk, I’d prefer if we don’t. While we play as Arthur for most of rdr2 this is still John‘s story. Rdr2 was just there to explain how rdr1 happened. If there is ever gonna be another red dead it should be a different story, with a different protagonist. Like, things like Arthur’s family or the blackwater massacre should just stay as something you hear about in the story, but don’t actually witness, that makes these moments more mysterious and interesting. What else would be there to cover about these events if we would literally see them with our own eyes? I feel like if rdr3 (if it ever releases) is another prequel it would ruin the story of rdr1 & 2
I think it’s my last boy. Imagine being Rains Fall in that situation, your last son dying because he didn’t listen to you. Riding him back to the reservation always makes me really sad
