My idea heavily comes from a dlc to the walking dead, but I still think it’s good.

So basically you would get to play as a whole bunch of dead gang members, basically, when you get into the game, it zooms into a wall with 5 bounty posters.

The five bounty posters have Kieran, Sean, Hosea, Dutch, and Micah separately. Each one reads “Dead or alive”

All the posters are there and the player gets to choose a character to play as, for the character chosen, an animation will be shown that hints at their death.

A hand reaches out and tears away Kierans poster, leaving only his head hanging on the wall

Dutches poster will come off the wall and float down.

A gunshot rings out and a bullet hole appears through Seans head on his poster.

Uncle and Hosea basically have the same one, a bullet to the chest.

Kierans story:

The game starts with Kieran getting enlisted into the O’Driscoll gang and going to the mountains. You take out some rival gang members (not van der Linde) and you go to an outpost. Arthur and the gang show up and attack you, you can fire some shots and injure characters, but it ends in you running away on horseback. You get captured by Arthur and taken to camp where you are tied to a pole in a stable.

The game timeskips to horseshoe overlook where you are freed and you lead everyone to an o”Driscoll camp. You discreetly help take out some O’Driscolls and you are given the command to save Arthur, if you don’t, it’s a game over. You then go back to camp where it timeskips a day. You do chores at camp and can leave with supervision. For example, you can ask Lenny to leave the camp with you, they may reject but you also may get to leave. You also have honor and money mechanics, as well as random encounters. Your main chores at camp are cleaning horses and making sure they are fed. There are also missions Kieran has where something happens that Arthur doesn’t see.

After all these missions are complete, you go to Clemens point, basically with more missions about stuff Arthur doesn’t see. Same chores as well. However, when Jack is kidnapped, you and Micah stay at camp, when all of a sudden, the Braithwaites attack! You and Micah fend them off and you dispose of the bodies in the river.

After this, the battle of shady belle happens and you pass out, you wake up to see you were captured by the o’Driscolls.

Good honor ending:

Kieran refuses to tell them where the location is, he gets a knife in the gut, and eventually he dies. His corpse rides into shady belle, and Kierans story ends with the camera zooming in on his body, while the screen slowly turns white.

Bad honor ending:

Basically the same as good honor, but Kieran complies.

After one of these endings, you get taken back to the bounty posters, accept Kierans is gone, and any other posters are gone depending on which character you complete.

This is based off a post about how Lenny should have died, but it’s about Kieran and his death/potential survival. Rockstar kills off most red dead characters, and remember this is my opinion, so take this with a grain of salt.

Chapter 3:

Arthur is captured and is hung next to Kieran, Arthur breaks free because he is awesome, and is given a choice to either leave or help Kieran. If Arthur leaves Kieran, his honor is negatively affected and Kierans story is basically the same. If Arthur helps Kieran, he gets good honor and both escape but Kieran is shot. Kieran survives this but has a bandage around his arm for the rest of chapter 3 and half of chapter 4.

Chapter 4:

If Arthur left Kieran, the same thing happens, except the gang finds out and blames Arthur for his death, Arthur carries this guilt until he dies. If he is helped, he lives through chapter 4 and goes on to do the bank heist with the group.

Chapter 5:

Kieran gets trapped on Grauma and the chapter is basically the same but with Kieran.

Chapter 6:

Kieran suspects something of Micah, and sometimes gets mad or lashes out at him in camp, however the group ignores him and goes on. When the truth gets out about Micah, Kieran takes Arthur and Johns side. Despite what the player chooses, Kieran helps John escape.

Epilogue:

This is where honor comes into play. When John is heading to talk to Sadie, he runs into Kieran leaving the general store. The two talk to Sadie and end up helping her out. The chapter goes on with Kieran staying at the ranch for a while and helping Sadie and John. Kieran mentions being married and potentially having kids. During the final mission and showdown with Micah, Micah grabs Kieran instead of Sadie, this is the honor part I was talking about.

Bad honor ending: Dutch tries to shoot Micah, but misses and headshots Kieran. John is shocked by the death and shoots Micah(although the player does this). Micah dies and John and Sadie bring Kierans body back to the ranch to be buried. During the credits, a funeral is held for him and everyone at the ranch shows up.

Good honor ending: Dutch successfully shoots Micah, Micah lets go and shoots Kieran in the stomach, John kills Micah and Sadie and John bring Kieran back to the ranch. Kieran ends up surviving, barely, and Kieran stays at the ranch while he recovers. Kieran leaves the ranch in between red dead 2 and 1, his fate unknown.

In red dead redemption 3, the game would ask if players helped or left Kieran and whether or not they had good or bad honor at the end of the epilogue. If the player helped and they had good honor, Kieran would appear
