Rockstar did something very similar to this in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, which came out a couple of months before RDR1. Only that you don't earn money, but instead just celebrate while Luis, the protagonist of TBOGT, says random funny lines while he is trying to keep his balance. Wish there were drunk lines with John/Jack in RDR1, because as far as I know there isn't any.
John. He reminds me way too much of my father for me to not vote for him lol
Imo, no one can compare to Harlow when it comes to bounty hunting or even gunslinging in general.
I despise Chapter 1, but it had a nice looking temporary camp imo.
Buffalo Rifle.
The fact the Red Harlow doesn't have a Cigarette Card of his own is so fucking disappointing.
Arthur's default outfit is pretty generic.
Johnny Klebitz, the protagonist of TLAD, is VERY similar to Marston.
The graphics hold up just fine, sure it's not the greatest, but I wouldn't say it aged terribly.
John has a family, Arthur literally has nothing if you think about it. And besides, Arthur would want to save John more than himself.
Sean, Arthur, John and Lenny
Redemption is done, there is no way that they can further expand on the Redemption games. A prequel to a prequel would just be unnecessary as hell, and The Wild West is dead when you play as Jack. But, they can make completely different characters and make games on where The Wild West was thriving, if they were to expand on the Red Dead series as a whole.
If we are talking about the gang, then it's Javier.
Red has scars, Uncle doesn't. Case closed, they aren't the same.
Unless he was REALLY lucky, Jack probably died of some disease or died in one of the World Wars, that is if he volunteered or was drafted. But if we are thinking about this from a "positive" perspective, Jack probably got himself a woman and is a famous author or some cheesy happy ending stuff along those lines.
I personally didn't like or hate Arthur, but I felt weird when I was playing as Marston, probably because I spent alot of time with Arthur.
I thought the way they killed Lenny was so half-assed. Would be cool if you could meet him like how you can meet Mary-Beth, Tilly and Rains Fall at The Epilogue. Such a waste of a character for what seemed like shock value, same goes for Sean and especially Kieran.
Sean is literally one of the only characters that actually made me laugh, but no, I prefer comedic characters to be side characters rather than main ones.
She was such a forgettable character that I gave zero fucks when she died, but no, I don't think she deserved a shot in the stomach. She knew what was at stake when she lied, though.
Arthur did not redeem himself even with his TB IMO. He did good things, but he is still a VERY bad man. Just because he's likable and made you laugh it doesn't mean that he was a good person. Think about ALL of the bad shit he's done over the course of the game even if you were "honorable". John Marston describes himself and Arthur perfectly when he says, "I'm a bad man, but I have a heart.". This dialogue is only heard if you help people (in RDR1 that is) and are honorable. People say that Arthur has very low self esteem, which is 110% true, but when he says he's bad man, he is telling the truth whether you like it or not. John is no exception to this either.
