She’s clearly not evil. She’s just one of the worse written characters in the game. I site her lack of weakness as evidence. I’d certainly love to hear if anyone can tell me a weakness she has, besides the fact that she loves her husband and is upset he died.
I just came on to say I hate Sadie so much you guys have no idea. I like Micah more than I like her. At least you can unpack Micah’s lines and try and find glimpses of humanity through his exterior. But Sadie? There are no glimpses of humanity, only bad writing. She’s a one sided revenge story with absolutely no character to her name beyond being suddenly on par with characters who’ve worked literally their whole lives to get to where they are. Her very inclusion is an insult to the tight writing the game has, because she has absolutely nothing behind her facade of being tough. And no, that’s not on purpose. If it was on purpose, we’d see an actual CHARACTER delivering dialogue, instead of just a 3D model acting out cliche Wild West scenes. Of course it’s Sadie who saves everyone at Clemons point (according to cutscene dialogue) of course Sadie gets a special scene where she fights off an attacker with only a knife while Arthur watches, impressed. Of course she’s able to stab that guys hand through the bar in the epilogue, of course she constantly ruins plans and it all works out, in ways that just exist to show us how powerful she is. (Hot air balloon, Rhodes shopping trip) she has absolutely no weakness. She loves her dead husband, and then that’s it. That’s all she’s got. Absolutely nothing else. She’s terrible. I hate her inclusion in the game.
I also hate women so maybe I’m biased.
@H. Roosevelt Literally acting like the Micah of the Red dead wiki gang.
John tells him, no?
@Zeonic79 And a pantsless option too what who said that
Unpopular opinion- but we have all the ingredients for an amazing online MMO with RDO, they just need to pull the plug.
Yes. Pull the plug.
Reset everything (Except player levels) so that everyone is starting from scratch again, and actually make a good game where it’s not a jumbled mess with identity issues.
I wish they’d do this, but they never will.
@MikeYoni YES I hate the off hand holster, man.
@Roadtis A few months ago on this forum a kid came on and made a post about how he was super tough because he didn’t cry about red dead redemption two, without even a hint of irony. You are the ying to his yang.
Damn. Guess the rest of us aren’t good enough 😔
Guys, they didn’t ask us. They asked @Levi de Santa let’s not be rude.
I think that’s somewhat the intentional interpretation…
But then again you didn’t ask me
Honestly? Yeah probably Red, no? I mean I can’t say that I’ve played Revolver but I will say- given the different format from Redemption, I’d believe you if you told me that Red preforms more amazing feats than Arthur or John (not to mention Red has a much more limited skill set than Arthur or John, who both know how to herd cows and gamble what whatnot) so that makes Red more of a focused gunslinger than a Jack of all trades, like Arthur or John.
Not gunna lie. I know they’re probably just baseless rumors but the idea of an undead nightmare 2 where it’s Aliens and vampires and warewolfs makes me shake in my worn preacher boots
@Zeonic79 I promise, i’m not trying to sound like some cynical jerk, BUT…
Adding them to the epilogue would only make the Epilogue section feel like more of a content overload than it already is. It’s ALREADY not ideal (at least in my opinion) that John just gets Arthur’s weapons and clothing instantly. Adding even MORE things to that would have the effect of making each weapon and shirt seem disposable… interchangeable… even more so than having “endgame content” already does to every game out there, not just RDR2 (I wanted to specify that because it’s not something I think RDR2 did wrong, just a side effect of every game having free roam epilogues)
I also want to say that this is my opinion. Hope nobodies taking what I say as fighting words or too seriously. Obviously if they added the online content to RDR2 single player I’d be just as stoked as any other feller.
Okay look- from a game design perspective, the weapons in the base game, and the order in which we acquire them, are designed to be linear. The game is literally designed so that Arthur gets the double barrel shotgun during the mission in which Kieren saves his life. I know it might not seem that way, but I promise you… These things are meticulously designed like that so that we, as the player, are not overwhelmed. Adding all of the online weapons and clothing, whether added in a linear format or not, will absolutely alter, and potentially break, this flow.
part of the reason why red dead redemption two was so successful, and the reason why players like you and I are so invested in the story, is due at least in small part to them having done a good job with this, for lack of a better term, order of content.
adding the things from online would ruin this flow, that is my point.
If any DLC is made by THIS ^^ method, then it’ll be forced, rushed garbage with zero passion in it.
^Lumbago
Addendum: Single player is BETTER without all the online stuff added in. Look at GTA 5 single player, the AmmuNation’s have all kinds of
psy-fi weapons hanging up. It’s lame. We don’t want them to do the same to single player, trust me.
Hahahaha bruh really said “why should online get all the updates” hahahaha
