Heres a brief explanation for why I placed every gang member in whichever spot...
Dutch - He's a self-proclaimed anarchist, has outward hatred towards the government and the rich. rants constantly of a "Savage Utopia" as well, further placing his views...
Charles - He's a mixed indigenous American, With anti-colonial and values of personal freedom. Not to mention he's faced oppression for being part native american and african american... doesn't seem to buy into dutches ideals, but he still is considered far-left by the definition in his era.
Lenny - He's an african american man, he's deeply aware of racial injustices, Lenny is also quite intelligent and idealistic, but he doesn't seem to buy into Dutches ideals specifically...
Javier - As a young man, Javier was a socialist revolutionary, and he only further dug into his despise for authority when his family was murdered during a protest, he then killed a highranking officer before running off with the gang.
Sean - Sean openly despises the rich, and at tshe time he was alive, Irish people were daily prejudiced against, almost routinely... he is also an Irish nationalist, which may disrupt his spot on the list, but his disdain for the elite and authority place him on the left for me.
Arthur - Arthur appeared to be a bit of a nihilist at the beginning of the game, but towards the climax of the game, he helps a variety of people, from suffragettes, to a man literally dressed in drag, and as well as him even being confused by the literal thought of being a racist by a POC man who was jumpy around him in the beginning of a side mission.
Molly - doesn't seem to have much indications towards a possible political view, but she is dutches lover, so that does slightly push her left for somewhat accepting his views.
Tilly - a considerably independent poc woman, who took after the gang, its probable to assume she would be atleast somewhat centre-left.
Hosea - Hosea is Dutches right hand man... but he questions and is skeptical of dutches ideology constantly, and he seems rather more traditional.
Uncle - Lazy ass. doesn't bother to pick up an ideology 'cause hes too busy drinking.
Kieran - hes a rather antisocial, awkward guy, he seems compassionate and kind, but has no real ideology he stands by.
Mary - a independent author, with seemingly progressive views, but beyond that, she seems to be a centrist.
Abigail - not much to say, she supports her family over the gang, not much else to say...
John - John doesn't have a fully formed ideology at this point, but he does value his family, and eventually runs off from the gang with his family. you could say hes a conservative I 'spose?
Karen - Idk shes just a drunkard.
Joshua - Doesnt ever get much screen time... he just kinda exists, hes a conman, an eccentric one at that.
Sadie - She believes in individual freedoms, and has strong belief in justice, also, shes a southern lady, so she remains a conservative in my mind at least.
Bill - Hes an ex - soldier, he takes orders, hes quite dull... he follows after dutch for no real ideological reason, he does take after some auth views though...
Reverand - He's a traditional, conservative man, who later becomes a preacher, sounds about right.
Pearson - he once fought with the navy, and still tends to take after his old ways, hes a conservative.
Grimshaw - Shes an older member of the gang, but she tends to rule over with an almost iron fist, she retains some auth views, not much else to say though...
Strauss - A devout capitalist, who preys on the weak and needy. no guilt on his mind from it as well.
Micah - Probably the most openly racist in the gang, as well as his constant preying on the weak, manipulation, etc, its easy to say he has very auth views.
