If you’re looking at the hat you press R to switch to the rifle in the pic

The bottom button that has two dot below hat means there are two items, one dot will light up depending on which item you are looking at

If there are two guns on the ground next to each other, there is button prompt on the bottom right that shows the item name, if you press that it will let you choose which to pick up
