A Fine Night For It is a Stranger mission featured in Red Dead Redemption 2. The quest becomes available during Chapter 2. Before the mission can be triggered, the player must have an encounter with the Night Folk of the Bayou at least once. They can be found as grey dot encounters to the north of Saint Denis.
After encountering the Night Folk at least once, a stranger will appear on the road heading into Lagras during the night. He is sitting at a camp and tells the player about the Night Folk - a murdering group who roam the Bayou and rob. He tells the player that the Night Folk have claimed his house. The player follows him to his house to help clear out the property. During the walk, the stranger points to corpses, saying the Night Folk have made their mark here.
After reaching the house, the player will find five enemies. After killing them, another group of four will spawn outside the cabin after leaving. After killing all the people, the old man reclaims his house and gives a reward.
To trigger a Night Folk encounter, travel along the Bayou or Bluewater Marsh around nighttime. Keep an eye out for voices, shadows, and lights, or other strange happenings and investigate. Afterwards, the stranger will appear in the area.
Agree to help the man and follow him to his house. Make sure your Dead Eye is fully charged, once entering the room dispatch the five men. The Night Folk are very quick and will attack close range with machetes so don't allow them to get close to you. Once you leave the house, kill the next wave of four that appears. Make sure to keep your eye on all of them so they don't loop behind you and kill you.
After killing the full group, the mission will be complete.
