Agave Viejo (Spanish for Old Agave) is a settlement in Red Dead Redemption in the Perdido region of the Nuevo Paraíso territory.

The settlement of Agave Viejo, based around a large ranch-like building, is used as a guerrilla base for Abraham Reyes and his rebels.
The Abraham Reyes missions "The Great Mexican Train Robbery" and "The Gates of El Presidio" begin in this location.
Undead Nightmare[]
In the Undead Nightmare DLC pack, this is one of 23 locations that must be cleared of the Undead and then protected from re-infestation thereafter. The three survivors who can be found defending Agave Viejo are Benicio Olivares, Gregorio Rascon and an unknown woman.
This is also the location of Rafael Carillo, the fourth missing person to be rescued in the El Presidio segment of the Missing Souls Side-missions.

Red Dead Redemption[]
- Agave Viejo is likely named after the real-world succulent, the Agave, which can be seen throughout the arid areas of the game world. Blue Agave is used in the production of tequila.
- There is a money chest located behind the large rock pillar to the south.
- There aren't any NPCs around the Villa in Free Roam. They instead spawn around the tents. If the player assaults one of the Rebels or NPCs, the Mexican Army will track him around the area.
- Should the player alert the Mexican Army here in Free Roam, the Rebels will pull out their weapons and run away into the cliffs.
Undead Nightmare[]
- Care must be taken with the survivor leader, who is often located on a chicken coop and may be knocked off onto the ground, where he is much more vulnerable. If he dies, it will be impossible to save the town by assisting the survivors. Care must also be taken with the female survivor because she is sometimes located on the lower roof of the chicken coop, making her easy prey for retchers.
