Albert Cakes is an entrepreneur and the owner of Cakes Hardwood and Timber in Blackwater, from which he sells pre-cut buildings.

After having bought the barren land of Beecher's Hope, Uncle suggests that John Marston ventures to the lumber yard in Blackwater in search of a "pre-cut" house and, eventually, the materials for a barn.
