- For the Red Dead Redemption variant, see American Standardbred.
The American Standardbred is a Horse breed in Red Dead Redemption 2. They tend to have higher speed, moderate acceleration and lower health and stamina.
Description
American Standardbreds are race horses, identified by their agile frame, powerful limbs and healthy coat. Both Black and Buckskin coats are found in the wild. A Palomino Dapple and a unique Silver Tail Buckskin can also be purchased, although the former can be found in the random encounter where a man is kicked by a horse. This breed handles well, is easy to train, but can be frightened by loud noises. They are healthy, and their average Stamina allows them to maintain a fast pace for a long time.
Catalogue Description
American Standardbreds are fine jumpers and exhibit a calm, bold, intelligent temperament. Highly sought after for their speed and placid disposition, they are known for their strong, dense bones and ability to maintain high trotting speeds. Their bodies are long, their withers well defined, and their legs solid and refined. This is a horse that is very people-oriented.
