Angel[1] is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
History[]
Background[]
Though little is known about Angel or his background, besides the fact that he works for Alberto Fussar on Guarma as his lead inquisitor we can speculate on his possible background based on one of his clothing items unique to him, which may indicate a background in Spanish Colonial Forces Pre/During 1898.[2]
Based on his trousers, Angel may have a background in the Spanish military, as suggested by his clothing. His in-game ped model features striped Rayadillo[3] trousers-the iconic striped uniform especially on Cuban territory a mere year or so after the official end of the Spanish–American War, like Alberto Fussar, it is likely he has a background in the Spanish colonial service. (Note that the Cuban Army banned and phased out Rayadillo[3] uniforms following the Spanish–American War, favoring their own unicolor as seen in the Cuban Military.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]

Angel's Rayadillo[3] Trousers.
After getting knocked out by a dart, Arthur wakes up tied to a chair with Angel standing before him. Angel interrogates and beats him for information about his identity and what is he doing on Guarma. After Arthur tells him that he is "Leviticus Cornwall", Angel interrogates Leon and beats him up, before doing the same to Baptiste. Meanwhile, Arthur manages to break free from his chair and is spotted by Angel who pulls out a knife, but Arthur quickly attacks him and beats him unconscious, before using Angel's knife to free Leon and Baptiste.
Character[]
Personality[]
Based on dialogue from Fussar's soldiers and Arthur's encounter with him, Angel slightly mirrors Arthur in his role as an enforcer albeit much more sadistic and ruthless. Angel, quite contrary to his name-sake, has no problem torturing or even murdering captives in order to gain information, and will excessively and savagely beat them.
Appearance[]
Angel is a well built and stocky man, with black hair and brown eyes sporting a mustache and goatee. He wears a white, slightly dirty shirt with its sleeves rolled up, as well as black working gloves and blue pants, with a sheath for his knife attached to a rope tightened around his waist.

Trivia[]
- It is implied by Fussar's soldiers that Angel is a sadist, although it could be an exaggeration due to their great fear of him.
- After the cutscene where Arthur frees Leon and Baptiste ends, the player can loot Angel's unconscious body and kill him by either stomping on him a few times or using a knife to stab him. Killing him with a gun will result in mission failure.
