Background[]
Palomares runs the general store in Escalera. He has a relative, Oscar Palomares, who is buried in the Sepulcro cemetery.

Events of Red Dead Redemption[]
Angel can most often be found running his stand in the open-air market at Escalera, where the player is able to purchase and sell multiple items. However, Angel has been known to visit Casa Madrugada and Chuparosa, usually driving his wagon. He is also a frequent rider of the train in Nuevo Paraíso.
During the mission "An Appointed Time", Angel is amongst the townsfolk who are caught up in the fight for Escalera between the Mexican army and Reyes' Rebels.
Trivia[]
- Angel and Marcos Pichardo are the only shopkeepers in the game who can be encountered riding a horse or wagon outside their work. They also share the same outfits.
- If Angel (or Pichardo for that matter) is killed while riding a horse or wagon outside of their destined location, it will not count as a shopkeeper kill.
- Angel shares a character head with Eudoro de la Barra and Hector Delpuerto.
- Curiously, Angel will not attempt to defend himself if assaulted or robbed unless the player tries to point a gun at him.
